Spring Meal

Small yellow flowers, Yamabuki (Kerria japonica), are in bloom in my backyard.

A Ruby-crowned Kinglet comes to nibble on the suet during the cold months, but not any more.
Guess why.

"I've been busy catching bugs like this.  I am tired of the
suet, so the fresh bugs are my spring meal."

Lately there is no hummingbirds on the sugar water feeder.  You know why?

"I am tired of the sugar juice. In spring, I
eat the bugs and slurp the blueberry flower nectar.  "
