One Summer Morning

At the wetland, a couple of young California Squirrel were taking a morning nap.

"Do not bother us.  We are taking a suntan this morning☝."

One Pie-billed Grebe was swimming with ducks.

"The morning time in the pond is nice and quiet๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ‘Œ."

In the bush area, one female Purple Finch was watching me.

"I saw you the other day๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ˜."

Summer at the Wetland

At the wetland, I saw a Killdeer.  It is the busy time for them to take care of babies.

"Just stay out of my nest, please."

Osprey was high up in the sky looking for a fish down below.

"I have to find a fish for my babies."

California Ground Squirrel was just relaxing and stretched out on the old log.

"I feel so good this morning. "

The Wetland Friends

At the wetland nearby, I sometimes see a squirrel.

"Hi, I see many people with a black box (camera) around here๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ‘€."

Here is a Rufous Hummingbird at the top of a bare branch.

"I like this top to see all the way to the other end of the reservoir๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿ’“."

Black-headed Grosbeaks are here every summer.  I can hear them singing, but most of the times, it is difficult to spot them.  This time luckily I saw him sticking out his head๐Ÿ˜‰.

"I want my girl to find me๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜."

The Wetland Living

At the wetland nearby, we see other animals together with birds.

"I am not a Grey Squirrel.  I am California Ground Squirrel living in Oregon."

"Who am I?  I am a Long-tailed Weasel.  I like to run and jump around."

Behind the trail, I saw an area where Great Egrets gather for a breakfast.  First I saw a dozen, and then more started to come in to say "Hi" to others.

"How are you doing?  A tasty fish there?"
