More Pet Birds in Beijing, China

Beijing is a huge metropolis. Today many people live in skyscraper apartment/condos while still some prefer to stay in an old-fashioned Hutong neighborhood as long as their goverment does not demolish it.

At our Courtyard Inn (四合院), there were two kinds of birds chirping in the inner courtyard.

Budgies:   The male on the left was singing away most of the time.

Cockatiels: they sometimes chattered in a quiet manner.

 

 

Chinese people just love to keep birds around.
