Snow

Yesterday was the first snow day for the year of the Horse.  For a couple of days,  it's been below freezing.  Around noon,  the snow arrived here and continued through the evening.  The area south of here received more snow and the highways were snarled due to traffic accidents.  By this morning, we had 7-10 inches of snow outside.  Schools are closed.

"I am not used to it, but I'll be very careful."

"It hides my food.  I hope it will melt soon."

"I puffed up my down feathers to keep me warm."

"What?  I just love the snow.  I am a winter bird."
