Winter Scene

 It has been cold and rainy.

Many Cackling Geese have arrived at the wetlands.

"We are a big family."☺️

In the morning sun, a Belted Kingfisher dived to catch a little fish.

"Wish me a luck."🙏

"We come back here every year."👍🪿

Winter Friends

When it is getting cold,  the winter birds stop by here.

Chestnut-backed Chickadee:  "I am one of them."😄

"I 'm busy checking my back.  Guess who I am."☺️

Ruby-crowned Kinglet:  "I am back.  I like your suet."😍

Answer:  #2 photo is Red-breasted Sapsucker.  Maybe once a year, I may see him in my backyard.  

Cold Weather is Arriving Here.

 Autumn weather.  The waterfowl's season has begun.

"I am Pie-billed Grebe, a regular resident here.  When the 

weather cools, my friends all gather here." 😍🦆🪿🐦‍⬛🦅

"We are Cackling Geese.  We will hang around here now."😄

"We are Canada Geese.  We will make a lot of noise.  Honk, honk, honk."😮🤩👍

Big Birds at the Wetlands

 All the colorful little summer birds have left for south.  But big birds are still here at the wetlands.👍

"I am passing by today.  I have to meet 

my buddies at the Wildlife Refuge nearby."☺️

Note:  Many waterfowls will arrive soon for winter months.🤩

Welcoming the Return

 The weather is changing at the wetlands.

Red-tailed Hawk:  "I am back."

Golden-crowned Sparrow:  "I am back,too."

 

White-crowned Sparrow:  "I am also back from the coast area."

Fall at the Wetlands

 Summer birds are gone and winter birds are to arrive here gradually. 

"We are Mallards and stay here all the year around."😉

"We are American White Pelicans.  We

 left Canada and are on the way to Mexico."😄👍
