In my backyard, I plant sunflowers every summer for birds to eat the seeds. Now they began to bloom.
Now Rufous Hummingbirds began to migrate from north to south. More are visiting here on the way. Each Rufous has a little bit different character. This one was talkative; often her mouth was wide open.
We went to the wetland around 7:00am. Many Redwing Blackbirds were waking up, moving to another feeding spot.
A Bald Eagle was on the way to a hunting spot early in the morning.
Down below where the sun begins to hit, a Great Blue Heron was staring the water.

At the wetland, a couple of young California Squirrel were taking a morning nap.
One Pie-billed Grebe was swimming with ducks.
