On a Snowy Day

On a snowy day,   many Oregon Juncos visit my backyard.

"I know where I can find my breakfast.πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ˜ƒ"

"Me, too.  I can find my favorite suet here.πŸ’ͺπŸ˜„πŸ˜‹"

Bushtits come in a big flock in winter.

"Munch, munch, this is the best suet in the neighborhood.😊😍😁"

On a Nice Day at the Wetland

On a sunny day at the wetland,

Bufflehead male:  "Hello, my friend."
Green-winged Teal, male:  "It is nice today."

Canvasback, male: "I stay far away from the shore."

Double-crested Cormorant:  "I can suntan here on a nice day."

Spring Scene

Spring is here.  The rose bushes began to grow.  I need to remove the old branches.

The Northern Flicker was busy munching the suet fallen on the ground.

"I like the suet, fallen or on the feeder.  They both taste good."

The other day, I saw four House Finches on the wisteria branches.

"It finally warmed up.  We are back from the
coast.  We like your sunflower seeds."

The Bewick's Wren comes all the year around.  This time it was shouting at the Yellow-rumped Warbler.

"This suet is mine."

On a Cold Day

Last week we stopped over at the wetland.  On a clear day, we could see Mt. Hood from thereπŸ‘€πŸ‘€.

It was sunny, but the air had been cold.  Most of the birds must be staying somewhere warmer.πŸ‘πŸ‘

American Coot, etc.: "We stay together around the corner
to keep our body temperature warm on a cold dayπŸ’—πŸ’–πŸ’Ÿ."

Cacking Geese:  "It has warmed up some, so I can swim nowπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜„πŸ˜."
