Fall is Here

Our schools are starting after Labor Day holidays.  Butterflies are still on the last of lavenders. 

Summer Hummingbirds are in a hurry to fly down to south now.

Rufous Hummingbird:  "It is already getting cool lately."😉🌻

Western Scrub-jay:  "I have to grow up fast before the cold weather arrives."👍

Bewick's Wren:  "I am already grown up and ready for winter."😊

Summer is Almost Over

 The wetlands now show the end of  summer.😢🐝🌻

Belted Kingfisher

"I come here close to the end of summer."😄

Osprey

"I was born this year and now have to find my own food."👍

Black-headed Grosbeak

"I like these berries at the end of summer. 

I will leave for south pretty soon."🫐😎

Moving to South

 The summer sky with clouds in August.  Last few days are a little cooler.

Birds are active in the backyard.  I saw three Red-breasted Nuthatches 

at the same time.😍

Fall migration has already started in Alaska.  I see Rufous Hummingbirds often visiting my backyard on the way to south.🎶🎶

Wetlands Families

 Near the end of summer, birds are busy raising their young ones.😉🎶

Lesser Goldfinch:

 "Mummy,  it good..."😋
