Heron's Fishing

 In a sunny morning at the wetland, a Great Blue Heron was staring the water.

"I am hungry."🐟?

With a splash,

"I  striked a fish!"👍

The fish skewered with the beaks,

"Ready for breakfast."☺️🎶

"It's already down in my throat."😋

Backyard Birds

The fuchsias are in bloom.  Anna's Hummingbird likes to drink the nectar.

"My favorite flower."👍

"My favorite is blueberries."😄

"My favorite is roasted sunflower seeds."😍

Note:  Black-headed Grosbeak visited me after many years of  absence.  Many trees are gone due to development.  It is hard for them to come to my backyard.😥

Hot and Dry

  Oregon has been dry this season.   At the wetland, many birds are nesting.

Brown-headed Cowbird: "I am worried about the water supply here.  

We need a lot of bugs to feed the babies."

House Finch:  "So far it is ok for my family.  Look my kid(left) is growing up."

Eurasian Collard-dove "I do not come here often, but is it a good place to stay?"

Big Bird

 One day at the wetland, I was taking a picture of  a heron.  Then I noticed something moving at the far end. What is it?😎

"I am a big bird."🦅

"My morning routine to fly over the water."🦅🎶

"You are lucky to see me here today."🤩👍☮️

Summer Backyard

 A summer bird, Rufous Hummingbird, stops over once in a while.

"I love these hotlips."

Bewick's Wren is busy, sand bathing.

"Not a dead bird.  Feel so good."
