Orange-crowned Warblers

 Orange-crowned Warblers (summer bird) are back in the wetland and in my backyard👍👍.

"Yes, I am back in the wetland today."

"Hi, Golden-crowned Sparrows.  Let me join here.

In my backyard,  I thought I was looking at one Orange-crowned Warbler.

"Just take a good photo of me."

Then,..... Aha!

"One became two warblers.👀👀"

A happy surprise! 😁😁😍

Pear Flowers and White-crowned Sparrow

 During the spring and the autumn months, White-crowned Sparrow sometimes stops over here.

"I just stay here for a short while before going into the woods."

"I see several Golden-crowned Sparrows here.  They are my friends."

"Pear flowers are pretty.  When they are almost done, I have to be on my way."

Anna's Spring Cleaning

 In spring, hummingbirds like to take a bath to clean off all the dirt and bugs stuck in their wings.

"Today is a good day for cleaning.  It is not cold any more.☝"

"Splash!!😁😁"

"Did you see me in my bath tub?😍"

Nest Building Season

 In my backyard, birds are getting busy.   

The other day Spotted Towhee found  good nest material. 

 

"I think this is very good for my nest.  Just it needs to be pulled harder.😊"

Varied Thrush, female:  "I come here often this spring.  Maybe it is safe enough to build a nest?💓"

Rufous Hummingbird, male: "My partner may like to build a nest near here💑."

A Calling Season

 Although the temperature fluctuates, birds know it is spring.   I found many birds are getting active and often calling out loud.

"I have to contact my friend👩."

"Me, too.  Where is my friend?👨"

Even in my backyard, the Varied Thrush was calling someone.

"Spring is the season for calling!💘💑👀👍"
