Summer at the Wetland

At the wetland, I saw a Killdeer.  It is the busy time for them to take care of babies.

"Just stay out of my nest, please."

Osprey was high up in the sky looking for a fish down below.

"I have to find a fish for my babies."

California Ground Squirrel was just relaxing and stretched out on the old log.

"I feel so good this morning. "

Busy Summer

 A big family of Mallard.

"I have to make sure they become independent soonπŸ˜€πŸ˜€."

High above, I saw a small flock of American White Pelicans passing by.

"We are on the way to a feeding spotπŸ’¨πŸ’¨."

Purple Martins always come back to the wetland.  There are many boxes available for them.

"I think this is my nest boxπŸ’‘πŸ˜."

June at the Wetland

Some of Canada Geese stay at the wetland nearby to raise their family.

The other day when we were walking around a big pond, a gooseling was walking toward me.

It was getting closer and closer.

"I am lost.  Where is my mom?😒😒"

Then it hid in the bush and swam into the pond, where it finally found his/her family.

"I found my mom!😍😍"

Up above, an Osprey was flying around.

"No catch todayπŸ‘€πŸ‘€πŸ’¦."

Photos from Japan

Back from Japan.

In Oregon American Morning Glories are mostly blue.  In Japan, there are many colorful ones.  I like this pink wild morning glory.

Along a canal walkway, there are many butterflies.

Two types of desserts from Tokyo:
The left is Japanese sweet with small mochi balls, red beans and Macha jello.
The right  is the western style sweet with whiptopping with macha and chocolate flavor.
Both were very delicious.

It was fun to travel, finally after three years of Covit restrictions.
