A Summer Bird

Our neighbor's wisteria began to bloom; ours is in the partial shade and will bloom next.

Not many birds like the wisteria, but there are enough birds who like to slurp the blueberry flower nectar.

"Hi, I am an Orange-crowned Warbler, a  summer
bird.  I just arrived for the sweet berry nectar."

"Every summer, I return!"

Spring Visitor

Blueberry bushes now have blossoms.   The temperature fluctuates a lot, but slowly and surely it is warming up.

On the tall grass, I found someone new.  It looks a little like a Song Sparrow, but who is it?

"Just guess!"

"I am a Fox Sparrow.  I have streaks
all over chest and tummy."

Spring Pair

The nesting season is here.

"We are busy building a nest."

"I want to wash off all the dirt on my wings."

"Me, too."

Pear Blossoms

Pear Blossoms began to bloom.  There used to be a huge curtain of the white blossoms, but no more due to the old age of the pear tree.

Lesser Goldfinches stayed here all winter long.

"Today is sunny.  I need to stretch to dry up my wings."

"My mate and I are going to stay here as long as we can find food."
