A Handsome Guy

Every winter I look forward to seeing this guy.  He is a male Townsend's Warbler.

"I am glad to return here for more suet.πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘"

"I can nibble the fallen suet after a squirrel munches on itπŸ˜πŸ˜„πŸ˜‹."

"Sometimes I can eat and shout at the same time.πŸ˜œπŸ˜›πŸ˜"

Chinese Lunar New Year is 1/22 This Year.

Last time when we went to the nearby wetland, it was cloudy.  The flood water was gone and we could park at the parking lot.  As we walked around the reservoirs, we saw a Bald Eagle at his favorite spotπŸ‘πŸ‘.

"I am glad the flood water is goneπŸ˜€.  My friends will come back here soon."

Green-winged Teal:  "I am happy nowπŸ˜„.   I do not want the muddy waterπŸ˜«πŸ˜©πŸ’¦."

Northern Pintails:  "I can feel the weather warming up.  We heard the Chinese New Year
(Spring Festival) is coming very soon (1/22) 😍😁."

Wind Storm and Power Outage

The weather warmed up after the cold spell before  Christmas.  The rain returned with the wind.  We had power outage.

"I am sorry to hear that."

"What?  You did not have the power.  Oh my god."

"Well, I am glad you are back to normal now.  Ta, ta."

That day the power went out at 2:00pm.  Usually it comes back in a few hours around here.
But this time it was different. We used a head light during the night and next morning we got up around 6:00 am.   Still it was out.  We walked to a nearby supermarket (15 min walk one way) to pick up some food and for a warm coffee.  The power finally came back around 11:00am, making it about 21 hours of power outage.   Now we have to appreciate electricity more than ever before.
